REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed diffuse enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland with coarse echotexture and multiple hypo and hperechoic nodular lesions in the parenchyma which show no areas of cystic degeneration, the largest of which measures 15X11 mm in size. Some of the nodules show evidence of small calcific foci. Doppler study show normal vascularity of both lobes.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·         Features are suggestive of multinodular goiter.

·         Suggested histopathological correlation.

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland more involving the right side, with multiple nodular lesions in the parenchyma which show areas of cystic degeneration, the largest of which measures 3.8X1.9 cm in size. No areas of calcifications noted. Doppler study show normal vascularity of both lobes.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·         Enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland with

multiple nodular lesions in the parenchyma which show areas of cystic

          degeneration. ? multinodular goiter.

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland.

Findings:

-          The study revealed mild enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland with diffuse nonhomogenous echotexture and  mildly increased vascularity. No obvious nodules  or calcifications noted in the parenchyma.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·         Mild diffuse enlargement of the gland with altered nonhomogenous

Echotexture. ? Chronic thyroiditis. To be correlated with thyroid

           function tests.

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland more involving the left side, with multiple nodular lesions in the parenchyma the largest of which show areas of cystic degeneration and measures 2.4X1.1 cm in size. No areas of calcifications noted. Doppler study show normal vascularity of both lobes.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

-          Hypoechoic lesions seen in the left upper cervical region with central echogenicity suggestive of lymph nodes.

CONCLUSION:

1.      Enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland with

multiple nodular lesions in the parenchyma. ? multinodular goiter.

2.      Left upper cervical lympahadenopathy. ?Reactive.
