USG Study No.

                                                US356US356

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed evidence of right hemithyroidectomy. There is diffuse enlargement of left  lobe of the thyroid gland with multiple nodular  lesions with cystic components the largest of which  measuring approx; 2.1X 1.2 cm in size. No calcification noted in relation to these lesions. Isthmus normal. Doppler study show no increased vascularity.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·        Status post right hemithyroidectomy.

·        Multiple nodules with cystic degeneration  in the left lobe of thyroid. ?Multinodular goiter.

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed evidence of right hemithyroidectomy. Normal size and echotexture of the left lobe with a small cyst in the lower part of left lobe which is meassring 6X4 mm in size. No evidence of calcifications noted in relation to these lesions.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·        Status post right hemithyroidectomy.

·        Small cyst in the left lobe of thyroid.

REPORT

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed minimal enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland with coarse echotexture and multiple hypo and hperechoic nodular lesions in the parenchyma which show no areas of cystic degeneration or calcifications, the largest of which measures 13X6 mm in size. Doppler study show increased vascularity of both lobes.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·         Features are suggestive of multinodular goiter.

·         Suggested histopathological correlation.

Examination:

·         Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland/neck.

Findings:

-          The study revealed enlargement of both lobes and isthmus of the thyroid gland more involving the left lobe, with multiple nodular lesions in the parenchyma the largest of which in the left lobe show areas of cystic degeneration and  measures 3.6X4.9 cm in size. No areas of calcifications noted. Doppler study show normal vascularity of both lobes.

-          Apparently normal caliber and contour of the trachea.

-          Normal vascular bundles in both sides of the neck.

CONCLUSION:

·         Enlargement of the thyroid gland with multiple nodular lesions in the
