-          The liver is showing normal size, shape and echopattern. No hepatic lesions could be identified, normal caliber of the portal vein, CBD and hepatic veins, no intrahepatic biliary dilatation seen.

-          The gall bladder Not seen. (H/O Cholecystectomy). No collection noted in the gall bladder fossa or rest of the abdomen.

-          Pancreas appeared normal in size and shape. No focal lesions seen

-          Spleen normal in size and echotexture. No ascites.

-          Normal size, site and echopattern of the kidneys, no stones could be seen. Intact cortico-medullary ratio. No hydronephrosis or focal parenchymal lesion.

-          Ureters- Not dilated.

-          Right sided pleural effusion noted.

-          Urinary bladder- Normal.

OPINION:

-          The gall bladder lumen show multiple calculi with acoustic shadowing  the largest of which measuring 7 mm in size. There is wall thickening(4 mm) with positive sonographic murphys sign. No solid areas noted within the lumen. No dilatation of CBD seen.

-          Pancreas not well visualized due to interference from bowel gas.

-          Normal size, site and echopattern of the kidneys, no stones could be seen. Intact cortico-medullary ratio. No hydronephrosis.

-          Normal sonographic criteria of the spleen.

-          No ascites is seen.

-          Urinary bladder- Normal.

 

OPINION:

 

·         Gall bladder calculi with evidence of  cholecystitis..
