REPORT
- The liver is showing normal size and shape. There is mild diffuse coarsening of the echotexture.No hepatic parenchymal lesions could be identified, normal caliber of theCBD and hepatic veins, no intrahepatic biliary dilatation seen. Portal vein is not dilated.
- The gall bladder is contracted with multiple hyperechoic areas filling the lumen with shadowing suggestive of small multiple calculi. No significant wall thickening or pericholecystic fluid collection noted.
- Pancreas appeared normal in size and shape. No focal lesions seen
- Normal size, site and echopattern of the kidneys, no stones could be seen. Intact cortico-medullary ratio. No hydronephrosis. Ureters- Not dilated.
- Spleen enlarged in size. No ascites is seen. Urinary bladder- Normal.
OPINION:
· Contracted gall bladder with small hyperechoic areas with shadowing suggestive of multiple small calculi in the lumen.
· Diffuse coarse hepatic echotexture. Hepatic parenchymal disease to be excluded. To be correlated with liver function tests.
· Splenomegaly.
