Name of the Patient : Abc Xyza Tlmn / F / 32 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzrani.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Lumbo-sacral Spine.
(Post-contrast Study).
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache with pain radiating to BLE with paresthesias.
Alleged H/O fall prior to this.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the lumbo-sacral spine was performed after administration of contrast using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images with fat saturation.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted axial images with and without fat saturation.
4 mm thick T1 Weighted coronal images with fat saturation.
MR angio was performed with 2D TOF sequence in the axial plane.
OBSERVATION :
After administration of contrast, there is intense enhancement of the posterior half of the body of the L5 vertebra and also the soft tissue in the anterior epidural space at the L5 vertebral level which probably represents a hemangioma.
There is no other focal or diffuse area of abnormal enhancement in the visualized lumbar vertebrae or the meninges. No enhancement of the intrathecal nerve roots is noted.
The MR angiogram does not reveal any abnormal vascularity at the site of the above described lesion.
