Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Galmn / F / 22 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzbnis / Dr. Abc Xyzk.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O severe headaches with vertigo since 10 days.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.

5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.

MR Cisternogram in the coronal plane.

OBSERVATION :

There is a small bright focus on the proton, T2 Weighted and FLAIR images in the right posterior parietal deep white matter.
This appears isointense to normal white matter on the T1 Weighted images (scans 103.12, 102.12, 104.12, 105.5).

CSF intensity lesions on all pulse sequences are seen in the lentiform nuclei bilaterally (scans 104.8, 103.8, 102.8, 105.12).

The seventh and eighth cranial nerve complex on either side is unremarkable. The cerebellum appears unremarkable.

Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.

IMPRESSION :

1. A small bright focus on the proton, T2 Weighted and FLAIR images in the right posterior parietal deep white matter is of undetermined etiology, ?? prominent perivascular space.

2. CSF intensity lesions on all pulse sequences in the lentiform nuclei bilaterally most likely represent
prominent perivascular spaces (lacunes has similar signal intensity changes).
