Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzai Palmn / M / 70 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O backache since 3 months.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :

4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.

OBSERVATION :

There is reduction in the antero-posterior dimensions of the dorsal spinal cord. The visualized dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.

The dorsal intervertebral discs show loss of water content.

A small, postero-central protruded disc is noted at the C5-C6 level.

The visualized dorsal vertebral bodies reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.

The conus medullaris terminates at the D12-L1 level.

Incidental note is made of a right cortical renal cyst.

The cervico-dorsal spine was screened with 4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagital images and shows small posterior disc herniations at the C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels with slight ligamentum flavum hypertrophy at the C4-C5 level.

IMPRESSION :

The MRI features are suggestive of reduction in the antero-posterior dimensions of the dorsal spinal cord without change in signal intensity. No compressive lesion is noted.
