Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzhai Mlmn / M / 62 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Neck.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
H/O repeated sore throat since 1 1/2 - 2 months.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the neck was performed using the following parameters :
6 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There are very small, subcentimeter lymph nodes deep to the left sternocleidomastoid muscle along the posterior margin of the left carotid sheath.
Minimally mucosal thickening is noted in the right maxillary antrum.
The prevertebral space, parapharyngeal spaces and the carotid spaces are unremarkable on either side.
The salivary glands appear to be unremarkable.
The thyroid gland and the larynx show normal configuration and signal characteristics.

The visualized oropharynx and nasopharynx appear normal, though the left sided lingual tonsil appear slightly increased in bulk as compared to the right, without change in signal intensity.
IMPRESSION :
1. Slight increase in bulk of the left lingual tonsil as compared to right, without change in signal intensity.
2. Very small, subcentimeter lymph nodes deep to the left sternocleidomastoid muscle along the posterior margin of the left carotid sheath.
3. Minimal mucosal thickening in the right maxillary antrum.
