Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache radiating to BLE (right more than left) with paresthesias.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
The D10-D11 facet joints show hypertrophic degenerative changes with a resultant tight canal.
Facetal hypertrophy is seen on the left side at the D1-D2 level.
Few of the dorsal intervertebral discs show slight loss of water content.
Focal fatty changes are noted in the D8 and D10 vertebral bodeis.
The rest of the visualized dorsal vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The rest of the facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
IMPRESSION :
Hypertrophic facetal arthropathy at the D10-D11 level with a resultant tight canal.
