Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzlmn / F / 47 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzankharia.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O giddiness.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
MR cisternogram in the coronal plane was obtained.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
The seventh and eighth cranial nerve complex on either side are unremarkable. The brainstem is unremarkable.
There is mild to moderate dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles which is disproportionate to the degree of cerebral cortical atrophy.
The fourth ventricle is narrow distally with a suspicious band
(? adhesion) within it (best appreciated on the midline sagittal image). The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
Mucosal thickening is noted in the paranasal sinuses bilaterally.
IMPRESSION :
Mild to moderate dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles which is disproportionate to the degree of cerebral cortical atrophy. The fourth ventricle is narrow distally with a suspicious band (? adhesion) within it.
