Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzahmed lmn / M / 28 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O radicular pain to BLE with tingling and loss of sensation in BLE since 7-8 months.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
The dorsal spinal cord over the D1 to about D9 vertebral levels appears sllightly smaller in calibre without change in signal intensity. There is no cord compression.
The visualized dorsal vertebral bodies and intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.
Screening, T2 Weighted sagittal images of the cervical spine reveals a small, postero-central protruded disc at the C5-C6 level. The cervical spinal cord shows normal signal.
Screening, T2 Weighted axial images of the brain and T1 Weighted sagittal images of the lumbar spine do not show any significant change note. Incidental note is made of bilateral maxillary sinusitis and inflammatory changes in the sphenoid sinus.
IMPRESSION :
Smaller calibre of the dorsal spinal cord over the D1 to about D9 vertebral levels without change in signal intensity.
No other significant abnormality is detected on this study.
