Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Rahmatlmn / F / 32 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhah / Dr. Abc Xyznna.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Cervical Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O neck pain radiating to the LUE with paresthesias.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the cervical spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and Fast Scan (T2 *) axial images.
FEW IMAGES SHOW PATIENT MOTION.
OBSERVATION :
There are large posterior peridiscal osteophytes with a posterior disc bulge at the C5-C6 level with anterior indentation of the thecal sac and mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.
There is a small postero-central disc herniation at the C4-C5 level and a small right paracentral disc herniation at the C6-C7 level. A postero-central disc protrusion is noted at the C3-C4 level.
Small posterior peridiscal osteophytes are noted at the C3-C4, C4-C5 and C6-C7 levels. Mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy is seen at the C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels with a tight canal.
The C5-C6 and C6-C7 facet joints show mild degenerative changes.
The cervical intervertebral discs show loss of water content.
The cervical vertebral bodies show normal signal intensity. The joints of Luschka and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The cervical spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The atlanto-axial region and the cervico-medullary junction are unremarkable.
IMPRESSION :
The MRI features are suggestive of :
1. Large posterior peridiscal osteophytes with a posterior disc bulge at the C5-C6 level.
2. Small posterior peridiscal osteophytes at the C3-C4, C4-C5 and C6-C7 levels.
3. A small postero-central disc herniation at the C4-C5 level.
4. A small right paracentral disc herniation at the C6-C7 level.
5. Mild facetal arthropathy at the C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels.
6. Mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy at the C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels with a tight canal.
