Name of the Patient : Abc XyzSlmn / F / 30 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhah.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorso-lumbar Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache since 20 days.
Alleged H/O fall 7 years ago.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorso-lumbar spine was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
The D12 vertebral body is as marked on the film.
There is slight anterior wedging of the D12 vertebral body without change in signal intensity. Slight irregularity of the superior cortical endplate of D12 is noted with herniation of the D11-D12 intervertebral disc into the body of D12. The D11-D12 intervertebral disc is slightly reduced in height and shows slight loss of water content.
A minimal posterior peridiscal osteophyte is noted at the D11-D12 level.
The visualized dorso-lumbar vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized lower dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L2-L3 level.

IMPRESSION :
The D12 vertebral body is as marked on the film.
Slight anterior wedging of the D12 vertebral body without change in signal intensity most likely is the sequelae of previous trauma.
