Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzt R. Blmn / M / 1 1/2 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzvadekar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Lumbo-sacral Spine.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O spina bifida since birth.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the lumbo-sacral spine was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.

PLAIN RADIOGRAPHS WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

OBSERVATION :

The spina bifida is not well identified on this scan. Please correlate with plain radiographs.

The tip of the conus is seen to lie at the L2-L3 level.

The lumbar vertebral bodies and the intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION :

No obvious abnormality is seen within the lumbo-sacral spine on this study.
