Name of the Patient : Abc XyzSollmn / M / 15 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhrivastav.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Pelvis.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
Known C/O Ewings Sarcoma. Received 6 cycles of chemotherapy.
For follow-up.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the pelvis was performed using the following parameters:
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is evidence of a destructive and expansile mass lesion arising from the left iliac bone. This lesion is hypointense on the T1 Weighted images and turns hyperintense on the T2 Weighted and STIR images. Areas of hypointensity on all the pulse sequences are seen within this lesion and this may represent fibrous tissue/calcium. Anteriorly, this lesion is seen to displace the iliacus muscles and posteriorly it is seen to displace the gluteal muscles.
The urinary bladder appears normal. There is no prostatic enlargement noted.
The ischio-rectal fossae on either side appear normal.
There are no abnormally enlarged pelvic lymph nodes identified. No obvious vascular anomaly is noted. There is no free fluid in the pelvis.
The left hip joint is unremarkable.
The volume of the tumor is approximately 245 cms.
IMPRESSION :
In a known C/O Ewings sarcoma the MRI features are suggestive of
a mass lesion arising from the left iliac bone as described.
As compared to the previous MRI dated 00.00.00, there is reduction in the size of the lesion.
