Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzma Dalmn / F / 37 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzmat.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Cervical Spine.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O neck pain radiating to the RUE with tingling since 2 years.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the cervical spine was performed using the following parameters :

4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and Fast Scan (T2 *) axial images.

OBSERVATION :

There is loss of normal cervical lordosis and loss of water content of the C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 intervertebral discs.

There are posterior disc herniations with peridiscal osteophytes at the C4-C5 and C5-C6 levels, indenting the dural theca anteriorly. Degenerative changes of the joints of Luschka on the right at the C4-C5 level and bilaterally at the C5-C6 level is noted with resultant corresponding neural foraminal narrowing. The right C5 nerve root is probably inflamed.

A small postero-central protruded disc is noted at the C6-C7 level.

The cervical vertebral bodies and the rest of the remaining intervertebral discs show normal signal intensity. The joints of Luschka and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.

The cervical spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.

The atlanto-axial region and the cervico-medullary junction are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION :

1. Posterior disc herniations with peridiscal osteophytes at the C4-C5 and C5-C6 levels,

2. Degenerative changes of the joints of Luschka on the right at the C4-C5 level and bilaterally at the C5-C6 level with probable inflammation of the right C5 nerve root.
