CLINICAL PROFILE :



EXAMINATION :

M.R.I. of the PNS was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.

5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.

OBSERVATION :

Nasal Septum :

Nasal vault & Sinuses :

Frontal recess & agger nasi cells :

Bulla ethmoidalis & Haller cells :

Spheno-ethmoidal recesses :

Middle & Inferior turbinates : Both middle turbinates cannot be identified anteriorly. The inferior turbinates are normal.

Anterior clinoid processes, optic nerve canals : The right anterior clinoid process is pneumatised. The left anterior clinoid process and both optic nerve canals are normal.

Osteo-meatal complex : Both uncinate processes are not seen. The infundibula are widened with soft tissue involving the left infundibulum and middle meatus.

IMPRESSION :

Normal study of the PNS.
