Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzikesh Thlmn / M / 8 mnths.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzrmar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O seizures 15 days back.
H/O ceasarian delivery at 7 months.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
3 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted coronal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
The myelination pattern is normal for the patients age.
Prominent vascular channels are noted along the lateral aspect of the body of the right lateral ventricle.
The superior sagittal sinus shows an intraluminal signal on all
the pulse sequences suggesting ? slow flow ?? thrombosis.
There is moderate dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles. The fourth ventricle is normal. There is prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci and the basal cisternal spaces, bilaterally.
There is no shift of the midline structures.
IMPRESSION :
1. Moderate dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles with prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci, bilaterally.
2. Prominent vascular channels along the lateral aspect of the body of the right lateral ventricle.
3. Intraluminal signal in the superior sagittal sinus is ? slow flow ?? thrombosis.
