Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Plmn / M / 28 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyz.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O seizures.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I. of the brain was performed using the following parameters:
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR and 7 mm thick Fast Scan (T2 *) coronal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity within the brain parenchyma. Prominent perivascular spaces are seen in the right posterior parietal white matter.
The volume of the left hippocampus (head) appears smaller as compared to the right whit a prominent left temporal horn/cyst of the choroid fissure. No obvious change in signal is noted [Scans : 106.9-12, 107.12-16].
There is asymmetric prominence of the right lateral ventricle as compared to the left. The third and fourth ventricles are normal. There is prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci and cerebellar folia bilaterally. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this scan.
IMPRESSION :
Smaller volume of the left hippocampus with a prominent temporal horn/cyst of the choroid fissure.
