Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Shlmn / M / 42 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : Intracranial MR Venogram.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O sagittal sinus thrombosis.
EXAMINATION :
The brain was screened with the help of 5 mm thick T2 Weighted axial and FLAIR coronal images.
MRV was performed using a 2D TOF technique.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity within the brain parenchyma.
Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures.
INTRACRANIAL MRV :
There is irregularity and faint signal within the midportion of the superior sagittal sinus which would be suggestive of partial thrombosis with recanalization. The left transverse and the left sigmoid sinus appear to be hypoplastic but show normal flow signal. The rest of the superior sagittal sinus show normal flow signal.
IMPRESSION :
Irregularity and faint signal within the mid-portion of the superior sagittal sinus would be suggestive of recanalization of the previous thrombus.
