Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzli D. Khlmn / F / 16 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzl.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Right Shoulder.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O pain and swelling of the right shoulder.
H/P s/o chondroblastic variant of an osteogenic sarcoma.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the right shoulder was performed using the following parameters :

6 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR oblique coronal images.
6 mm thick T1 Weighted and GRASS oblique sagittal images.
7 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.

OBSERVATION :

There is evidence of an irregularly defined mass lesion involving the epiphysis of the right humeral head, the proximal metaphysis and the upper shaft of the right humerus. The inferior margin of this lesion is sharply demarcated from the normal marrow and is located at a distance of approximately 7.0 cms. from the inferior glenoid labrum.

This lesion is seen to erode the cortex and extend circumferentially around the proximal right humerus into the adjacent soft tissues with displacement of the muscles. There is no obvious extension into the right shoulder joint per se.

The right glenoid is unremarkable.

IMPRESSION :

In a known C/O osteogenic sarcoma there is involvement of the proximal right humerus with soft tissue extension as described. There is no obvious involvement of the right shoulder joint per se.
