Name of the Patient : Abc XyzPalmn / M / 24 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache with pain radiating to the LLE with tingling since 3 months.
Alleged H/O fall.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
10 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
The lumbar spine was screened with 5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images and the cervico-dorsal spine was screened with 4 mm thick T2 Weighted sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There are small posterior peridiscal osteophytes at the D2-D3 and D11-D12 levels.
A congenital block D3/D4 vertebra is noted. The D2-D3 intervertebral disc is nearly obliterated.
The visualized dorsal vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
>
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.
Screening, T1 Weighted sagittal images of the lumbo-sacral spine reveal spondylolysis at the L5 level, bilaterally with minimal forward translation of the L5 vertebra over the S1 vertebra and a small pseudo-posterior disc bulge at that level.
IMPRESSION :
1. Small posterior peridiscal osteophytes at the D2-D3 and D11-D12 levels.
2. A congenital block D3/D4 vertebra.
3. Spondylolysis at L5 level, bilaterally with minimal forward translation of the L5 vertebra over the S1 vertebra.
