Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzlmn / M / 25 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzni / Dr. Abc Xyzhijwala.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorso-lumbar Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
Alleged H/O fall with backache and pain radiating to the RLE with paresthesias.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorso-lumbar spine was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
There is loss of water content of the D11-D12 lumbar intervertebral disc.
There is a small postero-central protruded disc at the D11-D12 level.
The visualized dorso-lumbar vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized lower dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the D12-L1 level.
Screening, T1 Weighted sagittal images of the lumbar spine reveal small posterior disc bulges at the L5-S1 and L4-L5 levels.
IMPRESSION :
Degenerated D11-D12 intervertebral disc with a small postero-central disc protrusion.
