Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz S. Parlmn / M / 45 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzatil.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O gait ataxia and slurred speech since 1 year.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
MR Cisternogram in the coronal plane.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is prominence of the cerebellar folia and vermis with fullness of the fourth ventricle.
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
Both the lateral and the third ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
Incidental note is made of bilateral maxillary sinusitis, left more than right and inflammatory changes in the ethmoidal air cells and frontal sinus. Few mastoid air cells on the right side also show inflammatory changes.
IMPRESSION :
Mild cerebellar atrophy.
