Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzklmn / M / 76 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzmpat.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O progressive gait imbalance since 3 years with generalized weakness and inability to walk.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
Few mid-dorsal intervertebral discs show loss of water content.
Anterior peridiscal osteophytes are seen to the right of the midline in the dorsal region.
The visualized dorsal vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.
The cervico-dorsal spine was screened with the help of 4 mm thick T2 Weighted sagittal images which show small posterior disc herniations with peridiscal osteophytes at the C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels. There is mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy and resultant canal stenosis at the C5-C6 level.
IMPRESSION :
No significant abnormality is detected on this study.
