Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzi Plmn / F / 23 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhekhar Sathye.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorso-lumbar Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache with pain radiating RLE with paresthesias since 2 months.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorso-lumbar spine was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
There is a small posterior disc herniation at the L5-S1 level.
There is suspicious spondylolysis at L5 bilaterally. Please correlate with plain films.
The visualized dorso-lumbar vertebral bodies and intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized lower dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level and thecal sac terminates at the S2 level.
IMPRESSION :
No significant abnormality is detected within the dorso-lumbar spine on this study.
A small posterior disc herniation at the L5-S1 level with suspicious spondylolysis at L5 bilaterally.
