Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzhalmn / M / 30 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzrankar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorso-lumbar Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache since 5-6 years.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorso-lumbar spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
The L1 vertebra is as marked on the film.
There is loss of water content of the D7-D8, D10-D11 and D12-D12 intervertebral discs.
There is a small, postero-central protruded disc at the D11-D12 level.
A left paracentral disc herniation with peridiscal osteophytes is seen at the D10-D11 level.
Small posterior peridiscal osteophytes are noted at the L1-L2 level.
The visualized dorso-lumbar vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized lower dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.

IMPRESSION :
1. A small, postero-central protruded disc at the D11-D12 level.
2. A left paracentral disc herniation with peridiscal osteophytes at the D10-D11 level and small peridiscal osteophytes at the L1-L2 level.
