Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzi lmn / F / 45 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah / Dr. Abc Xyzatil.
Examination : Intracranial MR Venogram.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
H/O intake of oral contraceptives with headaches.
Suspected venous sinus thrombosis.
EXAMINATION :
The brain was screened with the help of 5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images and T2 Weighted axial images.
MRV was performed using a 2D TOF technique.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity within the brain parenchyma.
There is mild fullness of both the lateral ventricles. The third and the fourth ventricles are normal. There is slight prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci bilaterally. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures.
Inflammatory changes are noted in ethmoidal air cells and left maxillary sinus.
INTRACRANIAL MRV :
The left transverse sinus appears slightly hypoplastic when compared to the right. The rest of the dural and deep venous sinuses show normal flow signal. There is no evidence of venous sinus thrombosis on this study.
IMPRESSION :
No significant abnormality detected on the Intracranial MR Venogram.
