Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Jalmn / M / 45 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhtekar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Neck.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
H/O hoarseness of voice since 1 month.
IDL s/o ? granuloma along the right vocal bulb.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the neck was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and Fast Scan (T2 *) coronal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is a hyperintense signal on the T2 Weighted and STIR images along the right vocal cord. This signal appears isointense when compared to the left side on the T1 Weighted images. There is no focal mass lesion identified along the vocal cords on either side. There is no evidence of laryngeal stenosis. The pyriform fossae, aryepiglottic folds and the epiglottis are unremarkable.
The parapharyngeal spaces, carotid space and the prevertebral space appear normal.
No obviously enlarged lymphnodes are evident on this scan.
The thyroid gland show normal configuration and signal characteristics.
The visualized salivary glands are unremarkable.
IMPRESSION :
Altered signal along the right vocal cord as described without focal mass lesion is of ? etiology ?? inflammatory changes.
No other significant abnormality is detected on this study.
