Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzra Juwalmn / F / 21 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhtekar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O headaches and fever.
H/O Kochs spine. On AKT since 3 months.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
IMAGES SHOW PATIENT MOTION AND CONTRAST WAS NOT ADMINISTERED AS PATIENT WAS UNCOOPERATIVE.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
There is mild dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles. Also seen is effacement of the cerebral cortical sulci.
The fourth ventricle is normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
Incidental note is made of inflammatory changes within the mastoid air cells bilaterally, right more than left. A polyp is seen within the left maxillary sinus.

IMPRESSION :
1. Mild dilatation of both the lateral and third ventricles with effacement of the cerebral cortical sulci.
A meningeal pathology should be excluded (a contrast enhanced scan should may be done under sedation).
2. Inflammatory changes within the mastoid air cells bilaterally, right more than left.
