Name of the Patient : Abc XyzS. Prlmn / M / 18 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzmpat.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O seizures.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
3 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted coronal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
The hippocampal complex on either side is unremarkable.
The left cerebellar hemisphere is slightly hypoplastic with a mega cisterna magna.
There is asymmetric fullness of the right lateral ventricle as compared to the left - a normal variant.
The third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The rest of the basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
Incidentally noted is a deviated nasal septum to the right and inflammatory changes in the left maxillary antrum.
IMPRESSION :
1. Hypoplastic left cerebellar hemisphere.
2. Deviated nasal septum to the right.
