Name of the Patient : Abc XyzR. Jhalmn / M / 44 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzagwati.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
Previous MRI s/o a glial cell tumor in the left fronto-temporal lobes.
C/O seizures on 00.00.0000.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR and Fast Scan (T2 *) coronal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
After administration of contrast the following parameters were used :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted axial and coronal images with magnetization transfer.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There is still seen an ill-defined, mass lesion involving the gyri and the deep white matter in the left fronto-temporal lobes with effacement of the adjacent cortical sulci and left Sylvian fissure.
This lesion is hypointense on the T1 Weighted images and turns hyperintense on the proton, T2 Weighted and FLAIR images. Areas of hypointensity on the T1 Weighted images which turn markedly hyperintense on the T2 Weighted and proton images are seen within this lesion which may represent cystic/necrotic changes. There is mild indentation upon the left lateral ventricle. There is mild perilesional edema.

- 2 - Scan-00009
After contrast administration, there is small patchy nodular enhancement in the lateral aspect of the inferior frontal lobe and the medial aspect of the temporal lobe on the left side.
The right lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
IMPRESSION :
The MRI features are suggestive of a mass lesion within the left fronto-temporal lobes as described. This most likely represents a neoplastic process like a glial cell tumor.
As compared to the previous MRI (study no.00005) dated 00.00.00,
there is no change in the size of the lesion but there is now enhancement noted within this lesion.
