Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Panlmn / M / 54 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzmpat.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O right third cranial nerve palsy.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.

3 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.

An intracranial MRA was obtained through the Circle of Willis using a 3D TOF technique.

FEW IMAGES SHOW PATIENT MOTION.

OBSERVATION :

There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.

The cavernous sinuses and visualized orbits are unremarkable. The optic nerves show normal signal intensity bilaterally.

There is mild prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci bilaterally.

The visualized internal carotid artery, basilar artery and the middle and posterior cerebral arteries are unremarkable.

Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures.

IMPRESSION :

No significant abnormality detected within the brain on this study.

If clinically indicated a contrast enhanced study may be worthwhile.
