Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzalani.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Lumbo-sacral Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache with pain radiating to BLE with weakness.
The lumbo-sacral spine was scanned with 5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images.
After administration of contrast the following parameters were used :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted axial and sagittal images with fat saturation and 8 mm thick T1 Weighted axial images.
After contrast administration there is patchy enhancement along the intrathecal nerve roots over L2 to L4 vertebral levels. No dural enhancement is noted.
Degenerative changes in the lumbo-sacral spine are as described on the previous MRI Scan (study no.00006 dated 00.00.00).
Enhancement along the intrathecal nerve roots over L2 to L4 vertebral levels may suggest arachnoiditis, exact etiology undetermined.
