Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzag Talwalmn / M / 9 1/2 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzi.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

Known C/O ALL. Detected in 0000. Received Chemotherapy (5 cycles) and Radiotherapy. Left ear damage due to chemotherapy and discharge from left ear.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.

5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.

OBSERVATION :

There are small bright foci, best appreciated on the FLAIR coronal images in the subcortical white matter in the frontal regions bilaterally and in the right posterior parietal region.
These lesions appear nearly isointense to normal white matter on the T1 Weighted images.

A prominent perivascular space is noted in the left frontal region.

Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.

Inflammatory changes are noted in the right ethmoidal air cells and left mastoid air cells.

IMPRESSION :

Altered signal in the subcortical white matter in the frontal regions bilaterally and in the right posterior parietal region may represent either ischemic changes or demyelinating lesions.
