Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzs Sarlmn / M / 17 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhtekar.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
H/O fever with enteric psychosis.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
PATIENT WAS NOT CO-OPERATIVE.
OBSERVATION :
There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.
An intermediate signal is seen in the left transverse sinus on the T1 Weighted, T2 Weighted and Flair images suggestive of slow flow/thrombus in the left transverse sinus. Slow flow is seen in the right transverse sinus.
Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
IMPRESSION :
Slow flow/thrombus in the left transverse sinus.
If clinically indicated an MR venography would be useful.
