Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzal lmn / M / 55 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzsrani / Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O pain on the left side of face with difficulty in chewing since 5 months.
H/O discharge from the left ear with tinnitus since 5 months.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :

5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.

4 mm thick T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images through the skull base.

MR cisternogram was obtained in the coronal plane.

OBSERVATION :

There is no focal area of altered signal intensity in the brain parenchyma.

Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.

The seventh and eighth cranial nerve complex are unremarkable on either side.

There is seen a fluid signal intensity lesion on all the pulse sequences along the anterior and lateral margin of the right occipital condyle (scans 104.2, 102.2, 103.2). There is no extension of this lesion into the spinal canal. There is no obvious bone erosion or destruction or signal change noted in the right occipital condyle.

IMPRESSION :

No abnormality is detected in the brain parenchyma per se on this study.

Fluid signal intensity along the anterior and lateral margin of the right occipital condyle is of ? etiology.
