Name of the Patient : Abc XyzThalmn / M / 69 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzatt.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O weakness of the RLE since 00.00.00.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR and Gradient coronal images.
OBSERVATION :
Hyperintense signal is seen on the T2 Weighted images in the right periventricular deep white matter (scans 103.6, 102.12) on the FLAIR, T2 Weighted and proton density images and this is most likely ischemic in etiology. This appears isointense on the T1 Weighted images. Hyperintense signal is also seen in the right cerebellar hemisphere on the Flair images (scan 103.6).
Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study. Slight prominence is noted of the cerebral cortical sulci and cerebellar folia.
Incidental note is made of left maxillary sinusitis.
IMPRESSION :
Hyperintense signal in the right ventricular deep white matter and right cerebellar hemisphere represent ischemic changes.
