Name of the Patient : Abc Xyza Mohd. Ummer lmn / F / 19 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzdhwa.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorso-lumbar Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
Known C/O kochs spine.
For follow up.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorso-lumbar spine was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with and without fat saturation) sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
Hyperintense areas on the T1 Weighted images which are seen to follow fat signal intensity characteritics on all the pulse sequences in the D10 and D11 vertebral bodies.
A Schmorls node is noted at the superior aspect of the D11 vertebral body.
The D10-D11 intervertebral disc shows loss of water content and is decreased in height.
The rest of the visualized dorso-lumbar vertebral bodies and the remaining intervertebral discs reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized lower dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.

IMPRESSION :
The MRI features are suggestive of altered signal following fat signal characteristics within the D10 and D11 vertebral bodies would represent a healing process, in the given clinical setting.
