Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzrges.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Sella & Perisellar Region.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O mental retardation with polyarticular RA since July 0000.
Also C/O hyperpigmentation all over the body.
Detected to have a micro-pituitary adenoma in October 0000.

EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the sella and perisellar region was performed using the following parameters :
3 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted coronal images.
3 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
The brain was screened with 5 mm thick T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
The anterior pituitary gland is normal in its location and shows a convex superior margin. It measures approximately 8.0 mm in height and shows normal signal intensity. No focal abnormal signal is identified within the anterior pituitary gland on this study. The pituitary stalk is slightly deviated to the left.
The posterior pituitary gland reveals normal hyperintense signal on the T1 Weighted images. The hypothalamus is unremarkable.
The suprasellar cistern and the cavernous sinuses are unremarkable on either side.
