Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz Mlmn / M / 54 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzhacker.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
H/O momentary weakness of the RUE for 5-10 seconds on 00.00.00.
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
There is a small bright focus on the proton, T2 Weighted and Flair images in the periventricular white matter in the right posterior parietal region. This lesion appears nearly isointense to normal white matter on the T1 Weighted images.
Both the lateral, third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is slight prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci in the high fronto-parietal regions bilaterally. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.
Prominent perivascular spaces are noted in the frontal regions bilaterally.
Inflammatory changes are noted in the left tympanic membrane/middle ear cavity.
Altered signal in the periventricular white matter in the right posterior parietal region most likely represents an ischemic focus.
