Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzh Mlmn / M / 7 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzthalani.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O seizures. On anti-epileptics.
For follow up.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, Proton and T2 Weighted axial images.3 mm thick T2 Weighted coronal images. 5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.OBSERVATION :There are areas of hyperintensity on the proton, T2 Weighted and FLAIR images within the periatrial white matter bilaterally. There is crowding of the cerebral cortical sulci in these regions with white matter loss. Also seen is thinning of the posterior portion of the body of the corpus callosum. There appears to be beaking of the cerebellar tonsils.
There is mild fullness of the posterior body of the lateral ventricles bilaterally.
The third and the fourth ventricles are normal. The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures. No obvious vascular anomaly is identified on this study.Incidental note is made of an enlarged adenoids. ..2/.

IMPRESSION :The MRI features are suggestive of periventricular leukomalacia as described.
As compared to the previous MRI (Study No.0000) dated 00.00.00, there is mild fullness of the posterior body of the lateral ventricles bilaterally. No other significant change is noted.
