Examination : M.R.I. of Both Hips.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O pain in the right hip region.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of both hips was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.
5 mm thick Proton density sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
The femoral head and the acetabulum reveal normal signal intensity bilaterally. There is no obvious bony destruction or erosions noted. The articular cartilages are unremarkable. There is no effusion within both the hip joints.
The musculature surrounding both the hip joints is normal.
A hypointense signal on all pulse sequences in the sacrum on the right, inferiorly, adjacent to the right sacro-iliac joint, is a sclerotic focus.
The suspected osteophytic lesion at the right acetabular roof seen on the plain radiographs dated 00.00.00 is not well-identified on the present MR Study.
IMPRESSION :
Normal study of Both Hip Joints.
