Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzen Kaplmn / F / 12 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzttcha.
Examination : M.R.I. of Both Hips.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

C/O pain in movement with limitation of join movement.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I. of both hips was performed using the following parameters:

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.

5 mm thick Proton density sagittal images (with fat saturation).

SOME IMAGES SHOW PATIENT MOTION.

OBSERVATION :

The pelvis is tiltect to the left. There is an intermediate signal intensity on the T1 Weighted images within the left hip joint which is seen to turn hyperintense on the proton, T2 Weighted and STIR images.

The epiphysis shows normal fat signal on the T1 Weighted images. There is no obvious bony erosions or destruction in the pelvis and both the hip joints. The visualized pelvis and the soft tissues are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION :

The MRI features of altered signal within the left hip joint most probably represent effusion (? sinovitis).
