Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzai lmn / M / 74 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzpadia.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Brain.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O tremors of BUE (right more than left) since 1 month.
Known hypertensive.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the brain was performed using the following parameters :
5 mm thick T1 Weighted, proton and T2 Weighted axial images.
5 mm thick FLAIR coronal images.
MR cisternogram in the coronal plane.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted sagittal images.
OBSERVATION :
There are ill-defined, hyperintense areas on the proton, T2 Weighted and Flair images in the fronto-parietal and posterior parietal deep white matter bilaterally. These are iso to hypointense to normal white matter on the T1 Weighted images and are ischemic in etiology.
The seventh and eighth cranial nerve complex is unremarkable on either side. A vascular loop is noted at the root exit zone of the left seventh and eighth cranial nerve complex, without deforming the same.
There is mild fullness of the both the lateral and fourth ventricles with slight prominence of the cerebral cortical sulci and cerebellar folia bilaterally. The third ventricle is normal.
Scan-00009
The basal cisternal spaces are unremarkable. There is no shift of the midline structures.
IMPRESSION :
1. Altered signal in the fronto-parietal and posterior parietal deep white matter bilaterally is ischemic in etiology.
2. Mild cerebral and cerebellar atrophy.
