Name of the Patient : Abc Xyzj C. lmn / M / 62 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzin.
Examination : M.R.I. of the Dorsal Spine.
CLINICAL PROFILE :
C/O backache with giddiness since 15-20 days.
EXAMINATION :
M.R.I of the dorsal spine was performed using the following parameters :
4 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted sagittal images.
5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted axial images.
OBSERVATION :
There is loss of water content of the dorsal intervertebral discs.
There is a postero-central protruded disc with a peridiscal osteophyte at the D4-D5 level, indenting the dural theca anteriorly.
The visualized dorsal vertebral bodies reveal normal signal intensity. The facet joints and the visualized pre and paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
The visualized dorsal spinal cord reveals normal signal intensity.
The conus medullaris terminates at the L1 level.
Screening T1 Weighted sagittal images of the lumbar spine do not reveal any significant feature of note. Screening T2 Weighted sagittal images of the cervical region reveal mild degenerative changes in the mid-cervical region.
IMPRESSION :
A postero-central protruded disc with a peridiscal osteophyte at the D4-D5 level.
